SHINER GOODS was founded by Jeein Shin, a SoCal climber with over a decade of design experience working for brands like Woolrich, J. Crew, Converse, Splits59 and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Jeein got introduced to outdoor climbing when she moved to LA about 4 years ago. She was excited to shop for some climbing pants but quickly realized there weren’t many options for comfy, climbing pants in the market.
With some friends help, she decided put up flier allover SoCal climbing gyms to direct climbers to take a survey to see if they wanted what she wanted- Sustainable, minimal, comfy climbing pants that also make your butt looked good! So after surveying more than 80 climbers, Shiner Goods was born.
With a help of 14 women rock climbers, we took about 2 years to field tested 3 different hemp fabrics over 16 samples and obsessing over fit and details every step of the way.
Focusing on form and function over unnecessary details was important since Jeein believes in building quality, classic pieces that you’ll want to wear it everyday.
